While I have my daily makeup bag, which includes many of my ride-or-die products, everything changes at a gig... your hydration, the temperature... which is exactly why it is so important to find good products that can withhold these conditions ( because having a great time is all fun and games until you realise your lipstick has smeared all over your face!) Luckily for you, I have compiled a list of my updated go to gig makeup, which hopefully will inspire you to try something new when you are next screaming your heart out to that band you just -love.-
Urban Decay ' Born to Run' Palette.

This Palette has it all. Bold pigments to create a more vibrant look for the gig, a large mirror which is perfect for if you are having to travel ( the mirrors are never quite right in hotel rooms.) and the shades are all long lasting, to the point you don't even need to use an eyelid primer. What makes this palette especially unique is the ease in blending together shades and the minimal fallout from even the brighter shades from the palette. It is also super easy to just apply the shimmery shades across the entire eyelid with your finger if you need to get up and go, as you do not loose any pigment in doing so. My personal favourite shades include Still shot, Hell Ride and Guilt Trip.
Lottie London 'Glitter Switch' lipstick.

The Lottie London ' Glitter Switch' lipstick provides long lasting, super even coverage even before the magic happens. Allow your lips to dry slightly before pressing together, to release a glitter coat that is melted into the original colour. These were super popular last year, but the reason I prefer the Lottie London formula over others ( such as Ciate) is that you get a more even coat of glitter across your lips with this formula, as well as it being less glittery that other formula's. The smaller amount of glitter means it does not make this product too much with a vivid eyeshadow look, as well as meaning it is not as gritty as other brands of this product that I have tried. Perfect for someone who wants to experiment with glitter, but not dive right in yet.
Revolution ' Cooling' fixing spray.

The Revolution cooling Fixing spray, beats all the expensive setting sprays I have tried before. The actual pray itself is sprays enough that you can get even coverage and melts into the skin without leaving weird patches ( which other setting sprays have caused me.) What shocked me most about this spray is that I can actually see the difference in which it makes to my foundation, as before I would notice product separation at the sides of my nose, but this seems to eliminate this problem. I prefer the cooling version of this product for gigs as it leaves a soothing feeling to the skin, which is exactly what you want before entering a hot, sweaty room.
Estee lauder ' Double wear' Foundation

I absolutely adore this product, but because of its cost, only use it when I'm going to nice events, or want my foundation to last longer than it normally would. It is marketed as 'Stay-in-place' makeup and I promise you, it achieves exactly that. Your foundation will.not.move. The product itself is liquid rather than whipped, which makes it easy to apply with either a brush or a beauty blender and because of this erases all possibilities of it going cakey. It also includes SPF, which makes it an ideal product to wear at a festival ( a one day festival, you would not be able to take this into a weekend festival as it is glass.) The only downside to this product is that it is very yellow toned and therefore is hard to find the right colour match, but pop down to your nearest Debenhams and the Estee Lauder team should be able to sort you out.
Benefit 'Hoola quickie' contour stick

This is a very new discovery of mine ( hence the sample size) but already a firm favourite. I always try looking my best when going to a gig. This product allows me to really define my facial features before going over with my favourite bronzer. Unlike powder, once blended, it has longer staying power and lasts as long as your foundation does. It also makes any extra steps you may do for a night out/ gig ( such as contouring your nose) a much easier process.
Urban decay 'perversion' eyeliner

Eyeliner is without a doubt one of the riskiest products to wear to a gig. I absolutely love a winged eyeliner look, but hate the way it smudges and bleeds as soon as the heat of the venue starts getting to it. I personally enjoy this eyeliner because it does not smudge as easily as other liners I have tried, while having a precise enough tip to make it easier to apply winged eyeliner right first time. Despite its staying power, I have no hassle getting this Liner off at the end of the night, which is important as I do have quite sensitive eyelids. The preciseness of the tip also makes it the perfect liner to use to add decoration to a look ( such as hearts, stars, dots) which is an extra flair you can apply to your go-to gig look.
