Trying to find your signature scent can be hard enough as it is. But when the sun begins to glow, and the flowers burst into life, its even harder to not get overwhelmed with all the sweet scents that summer brings.
I'm an absolute sucker for perfumes. I have a display board full of bottles that I will probably never finish, and am undeniably drawn to the fragrance section every time I walk into Debenhams. Compiling this list was hard... full of old and new finds, my daily wears and ones saved for special occasions. I think scent is a totally personal thing and therefore feel it's important to shine a bit of background on what I like. I'm drawn to floral scents, but not overly fruity. I like musk scents- they remind me of the haze as the sun sets. I don't particularly like scents that feel to formal... I know everyone raves about Black Opium, but it's just too uptight for me. I want something fun. Anyway- enough about me- more about these go-to Summer scents.

Beautiful- Estee Lauder
My go to everyday wear, I don't think I'll ever find anything that tops it. This is a romantic, yet woody scent, which reminds me of summer nights chilling with friends in the woods. It's top notes include Rose and Lily giving it a slight floral tone, but I feel this is overpowered by the base note of Sandlewood. This perfume feels undeniably feminine, soft to the touch, but with a sense of strength underneath. The best thing about this perfume is it's wear time. I can wear this through a ten hour shift and still catch the scent throughout the day. I'm pretty sure I'll get married in this perfume- it's just that good!

Daisy Twinkle- Marc Jacobs
First of all, lets talk about the bottle. Anything standing next to this would be envious. While I do not find this scent has the longevity as others in my collection, it makes up for the freshness that it brings. Applying straight after a morning shower, this perfume awakens your senses. With base notes of white wood and top notes of wild berries, this is perfect for something who wants something that feels light, while also bringing a youthful energy. This scent is perfect for a day date!

Malibu Surf- Juicy Couture
This scent doesn't just say Summer, it screams it. The perfect perfume for a beach day ( an American beach mind, not an English one,) With notes of pink watermelon, mandarin and strawberry, this sweet and crisp perfume will make you want to grab your surfboard for sure. This is a slightly less expensive Summer option and therefore is perfect to throw into your suitcase. Bon Voyage!

Cloud- Ariana Grande
The newest scent in my collection, this little treasure was picked up to pick me up on a rainy day. With super cute packaging and an even more impressive wear time, this scent blends lavender blossom and pear to create a dreamy, playful side while the bottom notes of sensual musk create a more deeper alluring tone. While not a fan of Ariana's previous releases, feeling too fruity and dare I say it, too young for me, this feels like a more mature version, blending between masculine and feminine tones.

Olympea Legend- Paco Rabanne
Described as 'The ultimate Goddess," I instantly fell in-love with the femininity of this scent. While one of the most sweet scents in my collection, this has an incredible intensity to it. With top notes of palm flowers and plum, it holds a warmth that reminds me of the summer glow that sun down brings. The perfect date night scent, it sparks romance with its undertones.
